India is a huge country, full of colour, full of culture. Well, you're probably used to hearing those things. India to me, is a country full of diversity that will make you think about life and about how lucky you are.
This series of photos was taken over a three year period. I keep going back there, wanting to capture more images. I could spend a lifetime and not even scratch the surface of India
Sri Lanka was an amazing adventure of early morning yoga classes, spider killing in our little clay hut & very kind people offering endless cups of tea with too much sugar. I will never forget travelling to the north by train & standing in the open door with the wind in my hair, my camera dangling off my hip, a handsome Sri Lanka fellow chatting to me, & the feeling of complete freedom & joy of travelling. I hope this collection of photos show a little of the beauty I discovered there.
PS! after some weeks of Buddhist teachings by a monk we stopped killing the spiders & lived with them peacefully....
Nepal. May 2003. I took these photos in Kathmandu and Pokhara on my way to India (Western Terrai).
